I felt happiness and comfortness here. I was not able to feel it when I was in the unfamiliar place. All I felt now was none that I can feel there, as my parents were beside me always when I am here.
When I first came to the unfamiliar country, I actually felt quite happy that I won’t be controlled by my parents like a little kid as I am already an adult. Besides that, I was so excited because I got a scholarship here, means that everything was going to be alright. But, I was wrong. After a few months, core curriculum activities, homeworks, tests and projects start to load up. Stress was spurting up my head real fast. But I have no one to talk to. So, all my feelings were kept inside my head.
After such a long time being in an unfamiliar country, I felt relieve as holiday was drawing nearer. Pressure has always be a friend of mine here. Core curriculum activities, homeworks, tests and schooling never end. I was forced to work hard, strain myself in order to get good grades as I would not want my scholarship to be cancelled. I was so tired as I have to suffer from all these kinds of pressure. I miss my family too, due to strangers here. I cannot find a good target to express my feelings and thoughts to as my parents always listen to my thoughts and encourages me.
Finally, the day that I have been waiting for has arrived. I sat a long 9 hours trip of bus ride back. The landscape of the surroundings, the colour of the deep blue sky, the language, the buildings, everything, was giving me the feeling of familiar and comfortable. As I got down the bus, I was welcomed back by my parents. I was so lonely then, but now, all my worries are being thrown away from my thoughts. The only thing that I am thinking about now is happiness.
My parents were very caring, they offered me everything that I wanted as I was not able to accept the offer by my parents when I was in the unfamiliar country. They even talked to me even closer than before as parents and child have not met for 6 months. Although it is only 6 months, but it seemed like 10 years has passed. I was able to sense that love coming out from their heart as they were talking. Tears came out from my eye lids as my parents were talking. I tried to hide it from my parents as I do not want them to misunderstand that my crying was not sad but being touched.
I got to understand that all those nagging given by parents were for our own good. Although it might be irritating, but it is the best thing to make us be a better person. Finally, I realize that home is the warmest place as the saying ‘Home Sweet Home’.

Texting and Listening, Killers on The Road
Listening to songs is a kind of leisure activity where we always do in our free time. Texting people by using the cell phone are also a kind of communication platform. But in this globalization world, many youngsters are absorbed in their cell phones or music players that they eventually do not aware of what is happening around them. If they lose concentration, they might get themselves in trouble if they are on the road, even on the pedestrian’s pathways. Do you know that this kind of action may lead to troubles and accidents which may harm lives of the people and the drivers on the road? But people often say that this kind of matter is not quite of a problem, so they should not be a problem. But I think that these actions may lead to severe problems. So I think that listening to music and texting on the road should be banned.
People might ask what the reason of banning these actions is, but eventually, they did not realize that the problem is getting more serious. When people walking on streets do not pay attention to where their walking, they might get themselves in trouble. Besides that, it may be dangerous for the drivers to drive if the pedestrians did not pay attention to their pace. A polytechnic student, Seah Jia Hao, 17, said that 'I don't think it's dangerous. If I can't hear a car when it's behind, it's the driver's responsibility to look out for me because I'm in front of him.’ This is a wrong opinion of what people think nowadays. They actually do not think that this is their responsibility. So, they just recklessly walk without paying attention to where their walking.
Subsequently, if people who are listening to music in their music players in a loud volume, they actually can’t focus on the sounds around you. According to the article, noise-cancelling earphones can silence almost 100 percent of ambient noise, which may lead to accidents. Why would it lead to accidents anyway? This is because people who are listening to music in a loud volume condition actually cannot hear the ringing sound of the bicycles behind or in front of them. Consequently, they will possibly collide with the cycler. This may cause accidents like injuries and even fatal. Student Phyllis Ng, 17, who almost bumped into a reporter while texting, said: 'I often bump into others but I'll still text away as it's already a habit.' Although it is a habit, but we should not take it so easily. This is because accidents may happen next time. It happens so lucky that this guy did not actually meet up with the real accident, he just got bumped by the bicycle but if the cycler is riding fast, and he did not hear the ringing sound from far, then he might get a severe injury.

Interesting Intro???
Streaking is a kind of action where people taking off clothes and running naked through the public. Try to imagine that students from Raffles Institution strip themselves and running naked along the Bishan city, would that be too eye catching or irritating? Commentary on Streaking

For Asian country like singapore, our culture is not that open-minded because we still have those traditional thinking inside our mind. Striping in the public is some sort of like a rude act because we should't actually expose our body in the public. According to our traditional thinking, we sort think that striping is a rude act and should be ban. This actually will lower down one's dignity and gain less respect from people.
Besides that, streaking is an act which reflects the people of that particular country. When a particular people in Singapore streaks on the streets of tourists attraction, tourists from other country may have a bad impression on Singapore. This will affect the name of the particular country and thus affects it's economy on tourism because tourists won't actually go to a country where people streak in the public.

Scrap the CCTs
I think that CCTs should be scrap although CCTs is practiced since last time. I think that CCTs should be scrap because CCTs gives a lot of pressure to the students when the time comes. Students have to study like bookworms just to score well in this test because it is counted in their academic progress report. As an example, I took a CCT a while ago. I nearlly failed the test. Even if i do well in my other exams, this CCT will also lower my overall marks of that subject, that is disasterous. So, i think that CCTs should be scrap.
